Hello! We are Adele Lippiatt and Emma Lunt. We are both qualified primary school teachers, each with over 20 years of experience teaching in a wide variety of settings. We are also both mums, so understand the challenges of family life. Both as parents and teachers, we have experienced the positive difference that learning through fun can make.
We founded Launchpad in 2012 starting with just one small pre-school class in Southville, Bristol. Launchpad has grown each year. We now deliver pre-school classes and art clubs in Bristol. We also provide community projects and frequently work with local schools and groups providing a range of activities. In addition to these, Launchpad provide PPA cover and enrichment sessions with a specialism in art. We offer a tailor-made package for schools that links directly to the National Curriculum.
Over the last few years we have been lucky enough to get to know so many great families. We have had a huge amount of positive feedback and we love watching the confidence and skills of our Launchpadders grow.
My name is Emma Lunt. I qualified as a primary school teacher gaining a BA Hons with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in art and drama from Warwick University in 1999. Since then I have taught in a wide variety of settings including primary schools and nurseries in Birmingham, Bristol and at the British School of Paris. I have taught across the key stages and early years from ages 1-11, including lead teacher at the Southville Centre's term-time pre-school, literacy subject leader at Backwell Junior School and class teacher at Southville Primary. I feel hugely passionate about the quality delivery of art in education. I also believe that every child deserves the opportunity to develop high self-esteem, become a great communicator, be given the grounding to explore the world positively and demonstrate a caring and empathetic attitude for those around them. I love being a part of Launchpad and all the opportunities it continues to offer.
My name is Adele Lippiatt. I was born in Wales but now live in Southville, Bristol with my husband and three children. I trained as a primary school teacher in Cardiff and graduated with a BA honours in Education, specialising in art. I have over twenty years of teaching experience. I have worked across the key stages in many different settings as a full time classroom teacher, supply teacher and more recently as a PPA teacher teaching art at Southville Primary School.
When I’m not teaching Launchpad you’ll find me samba drumming, dancing or making artisan cheese! I feel that variety is the spice of life!
I’m really passionate about working with children and families and love being creative; so setting up Launchpad classes with my good friend Emma was like a dream come true. We have built up the business over the years and have had some great fun along the way. May it continue as we spread the Launchpad love!
